NZ Rock Band Capital Theatre to Release Highly Anticipated Single ‘Exactly What You Want’

Capital Theatre, one of New Zealand's most exciting rock bands, is thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated single, ‘Exactly What You Want.’ The song is set to premiere exclusively on New Zealand radio from the 2nd of October, with a global release to all streaming services on October 6th.

‘Exactly What You Want’ showcases the band's signature sound, blending powerful guitar riffs, driving drums, infectious melodies, and charismatic vocals. The song captures the essence of Capital Theatre's high-energy live performances, providing a perfect blend of raw emotion and catchy hooks that will leave fans craving for more.

Capital Theatre will be embarking on a nationwide New Zealand tour in January supporting local legends The Feelers, where kiwis can come and hear this song and others from the bands upcoming 2nd album, as well as their favourites from the band’s debut album A Heros Journey.  

Earlier in 2023, Capital Theatre played two of America’s largest rock festivals, Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple where they shared the bill with The Foo Fighters, Tool, Incubus, Kiss, Deftones, The Pretty Reckless and many other iconic rock bands.

With the release of ‘Exactly What You Want,’ Capital Theatre aims to reach an even wider audience, both at home and abroad. The track is a testament to the band's growth and artistic development, showcasing their maturity as songwriters and musicians.

Frontman and lead vocalist, Adam Stevenson, expresses his excitement about the upcoming release: "‘this is a song that deals with the pushing and pulling of internal and external influences in a relationship. And much like Michael jacksons man in the mirror, it asks you take the hardest look into yourself and see the things that you don’t want to see. The song may or may not have references to taking lsd, this fact has not been verified by the band.

.. Through the hard driving guitars and soft melodic verses, the song delivers a powerful journey and reminds you to take the hardest look into yourself and see the things that you don’t want to see.”

 
Following the exclusive radio premiere in New Zealand on the 2nd of October, ‘Exactly What You Want’ will be available on all major streaming platforms on October 6th.
